Pump Track Madness

Another week gone and a new week here, spring break was a blast. It was nice to get rested and not think about school. But the best part was that I was able to ride my bike everyday over break.

The highlight of my break was this past weekend at Gerhardt Ackermans house. He has one of the SICKEST pump tracks around. Gerhardt hosted his first pump track World Champ (unofficial) and teamed up with Bikeworks Albuquerque and Commencal and they put down some sweet prizes. The fastest 20/ 24-inch rider received a Commencal Max Max 24 inch bike and the fastest 26-inch won a Chris King Headset and Chris King bottom bracket.

Thomas Fernadez won the 20-inch class with a time of 25.2 (he had two other runs but the timer failed) and Rory Eastman won the 26-inch class with a 26.3.

Even with a little competitive edge, the main reason everyone was there was to ride, hangout with their friends and enjoy the dogs and burgers on the grill. Couldn’t have asked for a better day.
