BYU in The Pit

One thing you can always count on when a team as big as BYU shows up to The Pit is high emotions and good basketball. #9 BYU is solid team but Jimmer Fredette was there lethal weapon. You know he is hot after scoring 43 points a few days before when San Diego State played at BYU.

As most would know by now the Lobos came out on top, but I can tell you it was no easy task. The Cougars lead most of the game but in the last 15 minutes that would change. The Lobos played really well, made shots, and defended the Cougars offense. The Pits true beauty shined not when BYU started to fade physically, But when the crowed got louder and louder. This is why players play here and others are intimidated by it.

Finally the last buzzer of the game went off. The fans rush the floor, the Lobo players celebrated and BYU made there way back to the locker room in disbelief. After the all the rowdiness I made my way to the media room, put my stuff down and notice I couldn’t hear well. It felt like I had just gotten out of a concert because the game was so loud. In the end it was a good basketball game. It would have to be one of the biggest wins I have witnessed in The Pit.
