Another season has come to an end at the Pit for the men’s basketball team. Even though they still have a journey ahead of them a member of the team will be missed at the Pit. Roman Martinez was the Lobos only senior on the team, but what he has accomplished for the Lobos is unforgettable. He has become more than an athlete at UNM and will always be remembered as one of the teams and fans favorites. Good Luck to Ro wherever his road may take him. Cheers

We are Champions

Wednesday night was a good night and a sad night. The Lobos started sluggish trying to end their last home game on a high note but played sloppy the first half. But the Lobos took control after a trip to the locker room and came out victorious defeating the TCU Horned Frogs. With joy the Lobos cheer as their last home game was a winner and won the title of Mountain West Champions. The sad note is that it was the last game and it was also Ro’s last game at the Pit. But the season isn’t over though. Lobos still have the Mount West tournament and the NCAA tournament. Good luck and till next season at the Pit.
